Palm Beach-area Seacoast Banks donate school supplies

Seacoast National Bank Palm Beach County branch offices participated for the fourth consecutive year in the annual Back-To-School Supplies Drive in Palm Beach County.

The Palm Beach County Seacoast branches in Tequesta, Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens served as drop-off locations, and during the one-month campaign, collected pencils, crayons, paper, note pads, book bags and more for area schoolchildren.

Seacoast National Bank partnered with The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and Club 100, a non-profit organization that works with underprivileged youth.

Club 100 Supports Building School In Haiti     Club 100 Charities donated $1000 to an effort led by Pastor Henry Dulcio from the New Generation Christian Temple located in Riviera Beach.  Pastor Henry’s church has for years sponsored a Christian School in Haiti, and it was completely destroyed by a hurricane two years ago.  Club 100 not only donated funds, but George Crouse P.E. (VP Club 100) is a structural engineer and has made blueprints for a new school.  George may accompany Pastor Henry to Haiti in June to inspect the building site and insure the local tradesman understand the plans and get off to a good start.  The fundraiser was held at Kendall Community School gym on Saturday May 12th, and included Haitian cuisine and entertainment.  The 100 persons attending had a great time.

On Saturday April 11, 2009 Club 100 Charities and the Florida Gold Coast Boxing Association hosted the 2009 Jr. Olympics Boxing Elimination Tournament along with two Golden Gloves State Championship matches.  These matches took place at the Jupiter West Recreation Center, and every seat was filled and many were standing due to attendance of over 400.  There were 13 exciting matches with finely trained athletes from all over Florida.  The winners of the Golden Gloves advance to the National Golden Gloves Championship to be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, and the winners of the Jr. Olympics advance to the Regional Tournament to be held in South Carolina.  The winners of the Regional’s will advance to the National Jr. Olympic Tournament to be held in Denver Colorado.    ... more ...
