Club 100 provides a number of educational opportunities for youth of all ages and interests.  Classes are generally provided based on student’s interest or perceived needs.  Examples of these opportunities that the Club could provide free during the year are as follows:

There are numerous opportunities for groups in the community to receive these classes.   Churches can request classes if they have sufficient students and time set aside.   Various community organizations such as Boys and Girls Clubs, Scouts or other youth groups.  There are enough information in these individualized and competency based modules to cover over 18 weeks with 3 hours of instruction per day.

CAREER DIRECTIONS COURSE

This is a fun course that helps youth to look at all the decisions and information needed to choose a career.  It also gives students actual experiences in job search, interviewing and much more.   The topics covered are:

What direction is your life taking  Who Am I What are my interests
What are my values Skills inventory Exploring careers and occupations
Is the military for you Financial Aid Sample Resume
Job applications Creating a Resume The cover letter
Interview Barriers What about drugs A career planner

6 ROUNDS TO SUCCESS

The club has a 10 one hour curriculum for our youth in the Cabana Colony Youth Center’s boxing program.   It takes key issues in the life of typical youth and puts them in a boxing context.    Sample topics are

Eating Healthy Fitness Conflict Resolution
Drugs Education pays Life Management
Alcohol Abuse Self Esteem Respect for others
